Well, here it is, another Pantomime over. All too soon I may add. After our problems, we quickly overcame them and impressed our Director enormously (I think). As usual, we managed to put all of our energies into the performances and offered our audiences polished shows. The last few shows were really great. Each performance became slicker than the previous, and each audience got better too. We had pretty packed houses, apart from Thursday night, which is always a problem for us to fill. Thursday’s audience made enough noise for us not to notice though. As we warmed up throughout the show, a few extra ad-libs were tossed into the mix, mostly to get the audience to react to one situation or other, which also gave us a big boost.
Our MD was still not able to play for us, however he was able to come and watch it on Saturday afternoon, which was good as we could then give him recognition for the effort he had put in with producing the soundtrack.
We had many extremely positive and totally unsolicited words of gratitude and praise for the enjoyable performances. This pantomime is a credit to our Director and will be remembered for some time to come.
